belts belts belts

looking at changing the serpentine belt....I know on some cars, they say to change the tensioner also...do i need to do that on this truck?

should i bother with the idler pulleys (other than scratching/cleaning them)?

Also, i've never seen a recommendation for changing the timing belt....????

she has 92k on her.

You should not have to change the tensioner or the idler pulleys. Your truck does not have a timing belt. I beleive it has a chain and they last alot longer than timing belts do.

Just change the belt. I recommend using Goodyear Gatorbacks. I've had real good luck with them.

+1 on the gator belts. I have been selling using them for 5 years and have yet to hear/have anything bad to say about them. Tensioners are good until they loose tension, you are probably good for another while.

It's a chain setup, so 100K+ life. I have had them last well over that and just shy of 300k.
