Just looking for advice here. My oil pan is leaking from the dipstick entry. should I put some teflon tape on the threads, or order a new dipstick? The leak is not from the around the 'flange' for the dipstick, it's leaking around/at the bottom of where the dipstick screws into the pan.
I just bolted the pan back up too, sooooo annoying. It's leaking with just oil sitting in the pan. I hate to look when I finally get to fire this hoss up again.
Well, I've driven the truck around the property for quite awhile and the dipstick isn't leaking. What the...? No leaks so I'm happy, who cares why or why not right?
