They tell me that the front end is very tight the problem is that I fell like I am correcting the steering all the time. This is the first dually that I have owned is this normal ?. Would a steering stabilizer help this out I also am running BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A LT235 85/R16 Thanks for your Help
2 wheel or 4 wheel drive ether way this is one thing that will afected both . the factory has specs that they think are ok for your front end alinement and if you dont mine replacing your tires and fighting the steering then they wont do anything about it. I took my f 150 in twice and they said it was in spec after that I told them that they could pay for my new tires if they did not want to aline the truck corectly. They took the truck back in and alined it corectly. you can let go of the steering wheel and it is fine. Befor you did not know if it was going to go right or left. this is on a 2004. I also have a 2002 f350 crew cab with a V10 and 15.5 in wide tires it also had this wandring. cheching the toe in we found one tire toed in farther than the other and both were toed in to far. making the adjustment helped this truck alot but I wont let go of the steeering with big tires they still like to fallow the ruts. Now for the scarry part If you have the two wheel drive there is part of the frame right under the oile pan that is riveted together. the rivets brake but they still look like they are in place. Good luck I hope this helps
A common problem is that there's too much play in the steering box, mine had the wandering and it's w/o the stabilizer. I adjusted the box (do a search and you'll find the procedures) and it's a world of difference now. I'm not even considering putting on a stabilizer.

Did the alignment shop recomend anything?>
I had to get a safety inspection and was told my ball joints were bad, got them replaced and had an alignment done, all was good, then my steering got hard and I took it to dealer. They diagnosed it as a bad P/S pump and replaced it under warranty. I had 100K miles. Steering is way improved!!!!
I am running 315/70R17 BFG AT KO that are def bigger than stock
good luck!
I may be wrong at what you're getting at with the "tight steering", but my steering was super tight. I originally thought that is was the whole, it's a big truck, it's got to be rolling to steer, but it turned out that, since back then I had someone else to my service (big mistake) They never (for 50,000 miles) lubed what we call on mt delivery truck, the king pins? The grease fittings are hard to get to due to the 4wd yoke being in the way, and you need the slide on fitting for your grease gun, so they never did it. After I "PUMPED HER UP" steering's been great.
Are you running A/T's on all 6 wheels? May want to try a good "stear" tire for the front. Look at a tread pattern that runs straight, like the michlin ltx m/s.
Ford has problems with there powersteering pumps. my frst pump went out in 24000 miles the seconed one went out in about three blocks. I have 38000 on the truck now and the pump is starting to by pass. I have been told that if I change the fluid and install a filter on the return side this will help the pump last longer.the first pump I was running stock tires. The past 14000 I have been running 33 /15.50 /16 MTZ. I do use the four wheel drive on a avarge of once a month and I do tow heavy. I will be installing the filter this weekend and changing the fluid. The filter I will be installing is a transmission filter from Napa Part # 1-8514
Yes I am running the BFG on all 6 tires. When the Alignment shop had my truck they replaced a shim. I am always checking the tire pressure I am running 65 Psi in the front and 60Psi in the rears.
BFG great tires been running them for years. still have them on my jeeps. how are they wearing any cuping or high and low spots and where at. keep in mine that the lower the tire pressure the more contact with the ground. this means you will feel more of the road and the the tires may want to fallow the groovs in the road.
