i've got 265/75/16, which are slightly bigger than your new tires, on my 2wd 2000 EB, and they fit fine.

i'm sure those will fit, and you could even go bigger most likely.

just looking not to return these. To much of an issue. The truck is not used much, it,s a third car, but if these will fit and i don't have to recalibrate my speedometer I think they will do.

any time you change tire size your speedo will be off. but this tire is only about an inch bigger than your stock, so it shouldn't be off by much.

The gift tires you received are SMALLER in overall diameter than stock (65% aspect ratio versus 70% aspect ratio), but the difference on the speedo should be slight. Your speedo will register faster than you're actually travelling, but that's just added insurance in case of law enforcement fund raisers.

I have 265/75/R16 on my 2000 Expy which is wider and taller than stock tires, I like the way they look and fill up some of the wheel well area. My speedo is maybe 1mph off when I compare to a GPS reading

YES, they'll "work" fine as they're the exact same width as your originals. But they are lower profile tires and may harshen the ride a bit, albeit handling may improve. Considering the overall height difference is very slight, you won't even notice a differece in speed vs. speedo reading (maybe 2%). Since they were paid for by another (gift) mount them up and count your blessings.

May I recommend either describing your vehicle in detail the first time, or put this description in your signature. It makes it a lot easier for us to answer questions.

17" tires were on Special Edition, Eddie Bauer, and sport package 4x4 models. 16" tires on all other 4x4's. I don't know about 4x2 models. 65 vs 70 means a lower profile by 7%.
