Well thanks to FTE I saved myself some money today by doing the tinfoil mod on my drivers side, nonfunctioning, door lock.

Took me 4 1/2 hours to finish...... Should of only been about an hour.

And here is why it took so long.

Extra 1/2 hour running down to the closest parts store to get a size 27 star wrench.

Extra 1 hour talking to neighbor

Extra 1/2 hour drinking beer

Extra 1/2 hour running back and forth to the computer to look at pictures and read posts.

Extra 1 hour pulling passenger door off to figure out how the two pieces, that fell off while trying to put it back in the door, go and then taking the passenger door off again when I remembered that I left the flashlight in the door. I see the questions on your faces as I type this. It was getting late in the day and I couldn't see the set up with out the flashlight.

Someone said this would only cost me $0.01 in aluminum foil. WRONG.... Cost me a total of $10.51.

$10 for the set of star wrenches
$0.50 for the beer
$0.01 for the tin foil

Add it all together and you have one damn happy camper..... Door locks and unlocks like new.....
