Wow! that sounds kind of high to me. I would think you'd be able to buy a complete replacement for less than that. I'd do some shopping around if I were you.

Here is some interesting reading for you about taking speedos apart. have you tried finding a replacement speedo? ebay?

Well I used one drop of 3:1 oil and the speedometer works like a champ. I hope it isn't temporary but at least if the cops stop me I will have some what of an idea of how fast I was going so I will have some frame of reference to subtract from! Thanks for all the help.
