Tail Light Wire Confusion??
1999 F250--The rear was wiped out in a wreck and after building a steel flat bed I cannot find a diagram for the wireing to the tail lights. I got the backup and trailer ok and even liscense light. Each side has 3 wires, ground,tail, stop & turn.Can anyone tell be the color code for these lights. as always, my many thanks. Jds 549

I use hoppy's info all of the time. http://www.trailerwiring.com/inst/48485.pdf this is one for a 7 wire, but the color code is somewhat standardized.

I think what you are telling me to do is trace the wires from the trailer plug to the tail lights for the correct wire. I had not though of that but it might work because the trailer plug was not compromesed. I'll try it. MANY THANKS
