C6 Question

since the C6 only has 3 gears is it possible to have overdrive installed in it?

no. if you want overdrive you will either have to change the trans, or add an aftermarket unit like a gearvendors.

If you want overdrive you need to either bolt on an aftermarket overdrive unit or pull the c6 and install an aod which was an option in 87, either way, having overdrive unit will lengthen your motor to tailshaft dimensions which will also require new driveshafts front and rear. my advice--get the aod cause it will bolt right in and if possible, find a truck where you can get the tranny and driveshafts. smallblock c6's are hard to come buy so you can keep it as a backup or sell it to pay for the aod and driveshafts.
