Sirus - using OEM head unit

I've got a 2004 X & the wifey got me satellite radio for Christmas However several of my buddies are using their OEM head unit vs something like this:

So two questions does sirus make a unit that will work in my OEM radio & if anyone has attempted such an install. Do you like it... any regrets?

thanks

You have two choices...

If your head unit is SAT radio capable, then you need to buy a tuner that installs under the seat or in the dash and the head-uit controls it like a "factory radio".

If your radio is NOT SAT radio capable, then you have some other other options...

1) May have an AUX button that you can connect to the back of your unit and your SAT radio will play through it.

2) If no AUX function button, then some units have a CD function that can be fooled into thinking there is a remote or second CD player and a wiring adpater from a company called PIE is available.

Good luck,
