Yes. You'll want to upgrade the cam and heads on the '79 becasue the combustion chambers are huge and the cam is pathetic compared to your '95. Otherwise it's a direct bolt-up.

I take it you are asking:
"Where is the fuse for the speed control system?"

If your brake lights do not work it would be fuse #13 (15Amp) in the dash.
The other fuse is fuse #E in the engine compartment fuse panel.
Also there is a recall on this truck and if this recall has been done then there is a fuse device in this new harness.

If the recall has not been done then take it to your FORD dealer and get this recall done or you may have a FIRE.

The Engine Compartment Fuse panel:

i would not use the block at all, your 95 is a better engine, the 79 is a 2 peice rope seal block, no dipstick provision. and non roller cam. not worth it . if your worried about block strength buy a gridle .

jk89cat, there is nothing wrong with a 79 Block. You can use a 2 peice rubber rear main seal. As for the dipstick....if you have an early front cover w/dipstick provision or a oil pan w/dipstick provision, either will work. But, the '95 should be roller ready. I beleive all '95's were roller ready. As for the heads, both years should be smog heads. Look at the valves, I beleive this would be the only difference that I would consider. I'd pick the set of heads with the bigger valves for more flow. But hey that's just me. Good luck.

It would be better if you started your own Thread.

sam i am not saying it cant not be done, but why mod stuff like that if you dont have to, things like that oil pan with side dipstick are not late models at all and are gettign harder to find and you limited with cams as well

385,000 miles and it's ALREADY got low oil pressure? What were they doing in Windsor back in 95? Thats actually pretty impressive!

jk89cat, no need to modify anything. It's as simple as bolting on a plate and squeezing a tube of RTV. As for the oil pan, the early model pans have a dipstick hole....that was only said because you never know if he has one laying around since the '79 more than likely came with a early oil pan and/or front cover. Besides, the early pans are much better as they are made with thicker gauge steel and are less prone to rusting out. As for the 2 peice rear main....all that has to be done is a quick 2 second job of using a punch to knock out the pin and fill it with RTV. Walla, instant rear main that is compatable with the rubber seal. As for cams, unless you slightly modify the early block it will usually not accept a roller cam...unlike the late model which is already roller ready. So, basically if the guy is looking to save some cash, I'd go with the '79. But, I can understand if someone didn't want to do a few little things just to use the early engine.

As for the heads I should add to my last post and say that not only would the valve size be part of my decision but also how large the combustion chamber is as well. Also, you gotta remember that they started emissions around 1970 or so and the horsepower/torque came way down when they started goofing with the emissions and never really recovered. Alot of times you will see that from the time they started this until the last vehicle produced with these engines with, the horsepower/torqe ratings were not very great unless you had a unique factory vehicle. The early engines before they started emissions are far better in my opinion to start with because they have the highest horspower/torque rating as there were no emissions back then. As for finding early engines...especially 302's....easy...they made so many of these little buggers...Trucks, Cars, Vans...you name it it was in there. Just my 2 cents.
