no shocks

I was under my truck the other day & noticed that i have no front shocks, just the spring. The truck rides good & i could not tell that it had no shocks. Is this normal?

Tis is my first dually & I am amazed at how good it rides, it is almost as good as my 01 GMC

If its a 4x4....

How far from the bump stops do the springs ride....... should be about an 1 1/2". Any lower than that not much travel to get an effect from a shock......

2x4 put some shock on it.......

Sorry but I don't know what the bump stops are. It is a 93 F350- dually-flatbed

IF you really have no shocks you need to get some asap.. you will wear your tires out in a heartbeat... also if you ever need to do a emergency lane change you may be in big trouble get shocks on that truck dont drive it till you do..
