does anyone know if motorcraft makes oil filters for other brands ? I've sworn off of fram, and I use motorcraft on my fords. I recently picked up a 06 jeep liberty with the 3.7 v6. I want a good filter for it besides fram that I can buy at walmart, any idea's ?
Motorcraft used to supply a full line of filters. Seems most stores don't carry but a few of the popular ones anymore.
Retailers sell according to the manufactures lowest prices. Over the years, it varies. Right now, Frams seems to be the low-ball vendor. In the near future, someone else will be the major vendor.
Motorcraft is made by Purolator, so I use either one. Only difference is the name on it.
They should, I have a 65 Rambler with the 327 AMC engine and I used to use a Ford filter on that, now I use a GM/Delco filter only because it is easier to find. So if they make one that will fit an engine that's been out of production since 1966 I would asume they would make one for a new vehicle
