351C Fuel Injected?
351C Fuel Injected?
Did ford offer a fuel injected 351C from the factory?
I am used to 351M/400 motors, and and may be building a 351C for a car.
I am just curious as to what my options will be, technology wise. If I can get a fuel injected manifold without having to modify one, this would be great.
If there is one, please post some links to pictures so I can see how tall the manifolds are for clearance issues.
The car it may be going in is a 1967 Mercury Cougar with the Aussie Heads and a standalone fuel and timing management system.
Also, were there any offered with coil packs, or coil on plug instad of a distributor?
I know this is a truck forum, but I trust the people here more than anywhere else.
Thanks,
Robert

I think I found a source
This page may put me on the right track:
http://www.fordmuscle.com/TechDepartment/engine.php
This is a 302 EFI that looks carburated except for the fuel rails and injectors.
The only main mod is getting injector bungs welded into an aftermarket intake.
The rest is wiring and computer install, which I think I can pull off. And of course having pockets deep enough to afford it. Hopefully that won't kill the plans.
Thank god a 460EFI distributor drops right into a 351C, which takes a lot of hastle out of dealing with coil packs.
If this does become a reality, I will try to dedicate a web page to it, as most everything else I have seen for a 351C EFI is on Pantera enthusiast pages.
The car is in Houston waiting for me to pick it up, but my current stretch of work offshore just got extended another 2 weeks, so all I can do is research and dream right now.

i've asked them once about E85 compatibility but they dodged the ball and just refered me back to the site. if i can get an answer out of them and this "carb injector" doohicky will spray E85 i'd really like to try it out, talk about stealth EFI!
