a/c clutch installation

I got the brand new clutch installed but something started smoking when I started my truck up from the area and I imediately shut it off. I took a look at everything to make sure it looked alright and when I started it the next time everything ran smooth and no smoke. I let it run a few minutes and shut if off and restarted and everything seems to be fine now. When installing the clutch I did put a bit of grease on it to make it slide easier. Would the smoke have come from this, the belt or what? Also I heard that I should add some lock tight to the main bolt that threads into the clutch what do you guys think?
Thanks

unless it is still smoking, dont worry about it. as long as the AC works, you are good.
