300 to 351

hello everyone im new to the forum . im doing the swap for my buddy . he has a 94 f250 3/4 ton with a 300 l6 and 5 speed . what he wants me to do is put in a 351 out of a 93 fullsize bronco and a c6 lightly built . he has all the wiring and computers im told . i dont know much about ford trucks as in what will interchange and what not . what kind of problems will i run into . i know i have to get some motor mount brackets from a v8 and prob have to get a drive shaft built . my biggest worry is the wiring .

thanks

the wiring shouldnt be bad at all. just get the complete harness from the bronco and you will be fine. also get the ecu. i have a feeling though that unless someone swapped in that C6 (C6 wasnt offered in 93) you have an e4od on your hands.

I was just going to post this same thing tonight. Will there be any difference in the motor mount towers between the 300 and the 351. Is there any rough estimate time wise on how long it would take with 2 people with average to above average know how, a weekend maybe?

did a swap last summer on mine. Give yourself a complete weekend to do it. You always run into a problem somewhere along the line!

the towers are not the same, but should be easy to come by. the towers for a 302 are the same for a 351w. I did my swap in a 2 weekend event by myself. pulled the old 302 out in one weekend, purchased my complete JY motor during the week and installed over the weekend. be sure you get the correct flexplate for the 351w/C6 combo. i suggest you buy a new one should only be $60 but worth it.
