it just seems like their is alot of "slop" or movement when I start or Stop? I have never had it come unhooked but i dont want to be a victim of the flattened bed rails!

Is the slop from the pin movement in the jaws or the fifth wheel hitch rocking front to rear ? What hitch do you have ? Does it have the jaws or slide bar ?

it is a reese signature series, with a jaw there is no slop in the pins, it is a 7k hitch

7k hmmmmmmmm if its the jaw type it should be over 15k . Anyways its prob. rocking back and forth when you stop or go. The only thing to make sure is that the trailer will actually go up when you back under it. Alot of time the trailer will be high enough to lock the pin above the jaws.
