engine rebuilder opinion

has anyone out there dealed with american engine installations or American engine exchange?

going to replace my 460 soon and looking to get a feel for the two companies.

I have never heard of those two companies. A few years back I replaced my 460 with a Jasper short block. 50k/mi later it's still fine. You might want to check them out.

Jasper and gopher are the best i have heard of. Mainly jasper.

I purchased a reman from Rhino Engines and have been extremely happy with it. Delivered and picke up the engine right to my door with a lift gate truck. Good price too.

I've always been a fan of local shops myself. Usually there are couple in town that are quality builders. When my Dad had his 350 Chev rebuilt we took to a local manchine shop that was into off-roading and local events. Really nice guys good quality stuff price was very reasonable. 120k later and she still runs like a champ. The chassis and body have 500k on them its been a very good truck for him. A buddy had his ranger rebuilt by the same guys and he extremely happy with his rebuild.
