Do any one of you knows is it is posible to put a 12000 lb winch on a Ford Bronco 1993?. Where can I buy a Power connection required?
In respect of Hydraulic Winch, could it be conected to the hydraulic pump of the steering system?
thanks for your comments and apologize for my English.
Yes to both. milemarker has a kit for the hydraulic winch’s it ties into you power steering using bypass valve with safety switches that will close if te winch springs a leak so you don’t loose steering. As far as an electric it depends on the winch each company should have a kit for to match the setup of their winch's
Throw and extra battery in and go electric. I had a 8000 lb mounted to class 3 hitch and could move from front to back Had quick conects. Also you put on other truck Had wire to hook from battery to winch. It comes in handy when lets say you truck upside down in the pond. 9True story) Well good luck.

big rv and tractor batteries are not recommended for winches because of the amount of charge time a deep cycle batterie takes to recharge so if your doing repeated pulls the batterie can fail.(according to my interstate dealer who also wheels)
Surely you chaps are discussing an Electrical or Hydraulic winches - not a mechanical winch as per the title. A mechanical winch runs directly off the crank pulley or a PTO on the xfer box via a propeller shaft.
however I've never heard of a bronco running with such a winch anyway.
