I have a '06 fx4 screw with the audiophile sound system. It says that it can play mp3's/ipods. How do I connect my ipod or play the ipod through the audiophile system?
O6' does not have the auxillary mp3 input as does the 07'
I have an 06' and the CD player will only read "mp3 formated CDs" with title, artist etc... on the CD display. You must burn your own CDs to take advantage of this.
I was pissed to figure this out, a harness to hook up your Ipod has been covered in similar forums for about $100
There is an adapter you can purchase that will allow you to use any line level device to be wired directly to the preamp of the factory system. It will also allow you to use the aux button. It plugs in between the head unit and factory harness. The beauty is it keeps you from using the FM tranmitter adapter as a lot are using. FM is limited in frequency response and dynamics, so your IPod will not sound as good as it should.
