So if anyone is curious here is the story. I've been having some ABS issues with my truck. I was in town and stopped by Ford to have them look at it. 3 weeks ago before I knew I was heading to town so I uninstalled and placed back to stock. I DID NOT do the disconnect battery and touch cable together. While the truck was hooked up to the computer it did show ABS problem but it also showed mutiple (Owner Caused) codes. All the tech would say to me was those codes were caused by the owner and he didnt go any further. Since it was closing time and I was heading back he stated that he was going to clear all my trouble codes and suggested the next time I am in town that I have it looked at again since I told him the ABS comes on every week or so.
I didnt count how many owner caused codes there were but it did not seem like more than 7. About 2 months ago I did disconnec the batteris and touch the cables together so maybe that cleared the codes prior to that date.
Just FYI for all.....
I'll know more when I go back to have the ABS looked at....
Sounds like the calibration is off, you put in the wrong gear ratio, VSS is failing or shorting out the electrical system caused so other issue. First step would be to call superchips with the tuners revision code/date and your computers calibration code to see if they have an update available. If yes, send it back to them and try it again. Next would be to confirm your gear ratio. ABS issues can be a number of items, such as failing components not communicating (abs-GEM-IP).
For future reference, you can turn your headlights on to deplete the charge. Sparks are only good inside a motor.
I thought that it might be the Super Chip so I uninstalled it and went back to stock. Still does it in stock mode. Plus it started way before I ever got the Super Chip so I am thinking something with the truck.
