Either of y'all off road much? Since I got the Bronco with giant tires and lift, I'd like to take it out and get it all muddy. The more the merrier...

gt347sc: It does count. haha. Growing up in the country, I can feel your pain completely.
mrxlh: mudding in your breadwinner would be a bad idea. If something went terribly wrong, it could cost you more than just the price to fix it. I've had that kind of thing happen before. Mudriding in a 2wd at our farm in Blanchard. Everyone I knew with a truck was out of pocket, both our tractors were down, and there wasnt a tree for 500 yards. In the process of sticking the truck to the point where the doors coulnt be opened, I also managed to damage the control arms. I ended up spending close to 6 solid hours digging it out so I wouldnt have to miss another day of work. That sucked.
After that fiasco, I got one of our Fords out and got it going strictly for playing in. It was still 2wd, but would really get it in the mud. I still have it, but it needs a little work and radiator.
If we get more people in the area to join up here we could go and takeover some parking lot sometime and compare rides and such.

I don't live there now but I'm from the Shreveport area. I grew up near Minden. I have a small place in Claiborne parish off highway 79. I'll post up the next time I'm coming down & maybe we can meet up.

That's cool. My wife is from Minden.
That's good area on 79 between Minden and Haynesville. Lots of pretty thick woods. I get up that way pretty often working and stuff.

I'm coming to Minden next weekend to turkey hunt. Maybe we can meet up before I have to go home. Redneck'n my land is on a road at the parish line of Claiborne & Webster on 79. Its about 2 miles off 79. There are some pretty woods in that area.

I go to school in Ruston, at Louisiana Tech, will be here another couple of years, then movin to Central/Nourthern Arkansas. Family is from Baton Rouge, where I will be spendin my summer

William 'Bill' McReynolds and I'm from Shreveport and just joined the forum. Having a devil of a time just cruising the site. They chose ecumseh for my username instead of wmcreynolds, which I chose. I can't find where to post a new thread and the option is 5 posts within 10 days.Would love to meet up with others. I joined the LA Chapter but haven't heard from the leader yet. I just bought a 1963 f-100 and starting to rebuild. It's a 223 with a 3 on column manual trans. Replacing a king pin just now and probably disc brakes next.
