Door Compatability

Can anyone tell me the differences between the doors on an 80-86 versus the doors on an 87-96? I'm thinking they're the same skin and window frame but different interior.

Pretty much, but the vent window on the newer doors has a straight edged corner where as the old vent window corners are round. If you want to keep your old interior panels on new doors, it will only take a minute to do. You will need to keep the metal armrest bracket from your old doors, it's held on with a bolt on one end and the other end slides into a hole. When you get the new doors, you will need a grinder or drill to remove the armrest bracket as it is held on with a rivet at each end. If you carefully examine the new door, you will notice that the location of the holes for the older bracket are still in the new door. The old bracket will bolt right on to the new door, and all the other panel holes are the same.
