99 7.3 Shuts Off
99 F-350, 7.3 with approx. 162,000. It will sporadically shutoff for a second and fire backup while driving on the highway, If it does it when driving in town it will shutoff until I start it.
Any ideas on the possible problem??

The CPS is pretty common for us most carry a spare. Check to make sure it is not just a damaged connector or cut/chaffed wire before replacing it. It would be wise to carry a spare though. they can be had off ebay for around 50 bucks just search "CPS" unless you would just like to pay Ford 200

I just called the Ford dealer for my truck from and earlier post. Since mine is doing the same thing. The dealer said $258.00 bucks and they have them in stock. This would make the 3rd time in two years that mine has been replaced. Since I only have about 40% use of my left arm, and a plate in my neck it is hard for me to replace. But with the plate, I get great cell phone reception.
