carburator for 390

ok, i am trying to find the proper workind carburator for my 390 76 f-100 auto what would you guys recommend?

There are numerous threads in the fuel delivery forum to match carb to engine.

This really isn't a 73-79 truck question.

It's a carb CFM to engine question.

the original carters carbuator is easily re-buildable and in my oppinion a good carbuator. Holly and edelbrock both make a great product though. If you have tried a few different carberatours I would be curious which ones and if there is a consistent problem. I would question if it's a carb prob or not. might even be an adjustment issue?
