Grease Question
Hi there, just replacing my rear gas tank today in my '87 F150, shorty 4x4. Just a question, when I dissasembled the electrical connection it had grease in it, was this factory? Also, the connection got dirt in it so I am unable to reuse it and had to clean it. What type of grease do I have to use to replace this? Does any grease work(ie lithium), just to displace any water that may come in contact?

I have never seen a factory ford connector with any grease in it. To replace it use dielectric grease. It keeps the moisture out. Some greases can conduct electricity, this one won't. If your in a pinch you can use vaseline also. Good luck.
