Master window control module
Backing out of my garage Sunday and rolled down the window to extend the mirror...the window wouldn't go back up. The driver side window switch is not making the contact to go up. I finally figured out that you need to jumper the down wire to ground at the same time you jumper the up wire to power so I have the window up but now I need to fix the switch.
A search of this forum only turned up to spray the switch with contact cleaner. I will try that tonight. In case that doesn't work, does anybody have the part number for the master window control in the driver side door? A while back, I bought an overhead console and all window controls off ebay for a day such as this, however, when I went to switch out the control (thinking I was pretty smart for getting that when I did), it wasn't the same connectors. My 2002 limited excursion has small (1/2"x1/2") wiring connectors while what I purchased (supposedly 2002 excursion/expedition) had large wiring connectors (1"x2" approximately). I am sure these can be found at places other than the dealer for cheaper but I don't have a parts list for the excursion yet. Thanks for any insight.
