Heater problems
The heater in the truck is not blowing. The heater works (I can put my hand under the dash and there is hot air coming out) but the blower doesn't come on. I have replaced the blower switch and the heater fuse. Anything else I should check before I replace the blower motor?
If you have a truck with A/C the resistor will be located under the hood on the right side in the A/C box and looks like this: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...135530&width=0 , https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...135531&width=0 I'm not sure where to find a new one for a A/C truck, I have not seen one yet. This part get's rusted and nasty due to being mounted in the heater duct and getting damp. Remove and inspect, replace as needed. -Ed
This resistor fits all 1973 thru 1979 F series trucks.
Try Green Sales in Cincinnati Ohio, if it is no longer available from FoMoCo.
