On the thread about computers in the garage,someone, I think fredric, mentioned that he used his to access Mitchell. I imagine that this is an on line version of Mitchell manuals, which I used to find in our local library. They were often quite helpful.
I'm wondering if the on line version is a reasonable option for the casual home user. I'd appreciate comments from anyone who uses this service.
I have the mitchell CD set I purchased (but not renewed) as well as alldata and something else, also which I've not renewed.
They are very useful tools, especially if you have more than one vehicle, and find haynes/chilton's car-specific books not to be very useful. Not that those books are bad... but they are clearly aimed at home DIY type folks and not aimed at people who should really be purchasing the service manuals for their vehicles, i.e. people who want detail.
