vent/ need help with 4x4 :P

ok well i bought this 02 v6 escape and ive had it since thanksgiving day... so a freind of mine bought it in kansas city and drove it to me over the holliday.. the thing went half the way down here to branson missouri. and went ka phut. sooo hooked up the trailer and went and picked it up... figured out the egr valve and positioning sensor was bad.. as in the egr had gotten so hott it had blown a hole in the side of the pot metal its made out of... and the sensor was nothing but where the wires hoook on.... sooo replaced those parts.. started it up and it still had no power... soo off came the exhaust system aha! cat converter was plugged.. ford wanted wayyy to much for one like 146 buxs or sumpin online... anywho i bought a walker orilley's generic cat converter and a new thrust glass pack for fun... hey im only 16... anyways. got it alll together and it still missed everyonce in a while sooo off to orilley's to buy plugs.. that was fun.. intake removal and all.. got that finished and she MOVED i was able to take my buddy in his lexus es 230 i think it is.. anywho... drove it for 2 weeks. only to have a loss of power going up a hill. pulled over poped the hood and the sensor was melted again.. so trailered it home again. replaced the sensor and checked the cat converter.. well it was melted... literally.. so pulled it off and orilley's warranteed it. great so im good to go now.. nope put another 50 miles on it runing great pulls in the drive shuts it off.. come back the next day start it and the idle is rough.. so i figure id give it a min to warm up being cold and everything.. so i wait till it warms up to normal driving temp and go to back up.. i can feel the thing missing but i hope it will streighin up i go to drive up my hill and the thing throws a code so into the garage it goes.. i put the code reader on it and i got a po301. cylinder 1 missfire.. well i know its not the plugs or injectors.. so i figure ok coil pack.. so ive got one ordered and should get it tomarrow.. if it breaks again im going to sell it and buy anything elce.. ugg. lol anywho heres an unknown problem of mine i was reading the otherguys post about his 4x4 not engaging. well mines doing the same thing. it dosent work in auto or when i lock it in.. ive checked the one fuse i found the location of and i was wondering where all the other ones were located exactly? any help is appretiated.. thanks much PEACE.

You should have fixed the original problem instead of throwing parts at it.
Things probably would have worked out better.

By NOT FIXING THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM and simply replacing broken parts (symptoms).

original problem i was clueless about all i knew is that the egr valve and sensor were fryed and i dident know why. excuse me for not being a genuis at the age of 16. but after i started it and it ran poorly i checked the cad converter AND REPLACED it... no driving was done no harm was done anyways.. i just replaced the 1st cylinder coil pack and the thing runs like a beast yet again. except for the four wheel drive.. im confused as where to find the remaning fuses ive found the one on the main interior fuse panle in the kick panel. but have no clue where to find the rest... any help will be appretiated thanks Abunch!
