Do you think this car will have any significant sales in the U.S.?

Now? No. Give them 15 years and they'll give the Japanese a run for their money.

They're suppose to be here this year.

I'm curious how they'll do in sales.

I think DC is taking a big risk selling a re-badged chery. Sure it will be a cheap new car that gets good gas mileage. So was the Yugo. If it's a piece of dung death trap with an ultra lo markup what do they gain? Maybe Wally World should just sell them out of their parking lot. We'll see.

I can just see the lease terms now.

MSRP $7499.00

36mo lease only $150/mo with $1500 at signing.

I think China will be a player. Low production costs will win over time. If Daimler gets involved, quality control won't be an issue. The actual quality of the product is another story.

If it does take off, it may sell pretty good on the West Coast.

Lots of rice burners here.
