Header(s)

I have an 1987 F-150 with the I6 and wondering what the best header is for the truck, bang for buck wise. I will be doing a full exhust, thinking about just doing headers into an x pipe and dump around the rear axel.

What size pipe with what header, to sound good, not raspy, not loud, just a nice tone, it can scream at WOT if need be as i only do that when getting on the e-way. No cats are needed, nor wanted.

Thanks in Advance!

I think with a 87 you need a cat with all the computer ***** since its a efi cause it has a sensor. Actually your efi manifolds are already pretty good just re-do your exhaust from the manifolds back.

The reason for doing it all at once, is because the header on there now is a bit rusty, and i just want to clean it all up.

Cats are not worth it on the truck. If it throws a code, i dont care, i can get around that with a chip i assume.

Wont matter cats or not. Youll just have to weld a bung in the h or x pipe for the o2 sensor.
