Another rear seal thread. HELP
89 F250, 460/7.5, C6 Auto, 4x4
I have the lower rear main seal cap off (we all know the story about how much work it was to get to this point) and just can't seem to get the seals out of the lower cap OR out of the block!
I've tried tapping them around-n-out with not luck, they won't budge.
I don't think a "Sneaky Pete" would work since both pieces have a metal rod core.
Haynes says to use a sheet metal screw and pull the seal out. Yeah, right.
I've never seen a sheet metal screw that small that would be able to srew into that tiny rod.
Help! I'm so close to getting this hoss back on the road! I need my snow plow!
