Trouble light came on
I have an 06 F250PSD. I have 8K on the truck. The truck is running great. Here is the proublem-the trouble light that looks like the side view of the engine came on today. I just had the truck seviced at 7,800 miles. The truck runs great. What is the deal here. Can I clear the light or do I have to go to the dealer.

I dont think the fuel cap issue applies to the PSD. I would just take it in to the dealer and let them check it out. If the light is staying on it is a hard fault and they should be able to find the problem quickly.

The funny thing about it is it runs great. I am on my way to S/W Wyoming for work. I did 600 miles today. Averaged about 22mpg. No problems. I did change out my factory gas cap to a locking style to keep from having my fuel syphoned off.

I had a check engine light come on at 2000 miles. Took it to the dealer and they told me it was from the gas cap. They suggested that I turn the truck off when I fuel it. Now I have never left it running when fueling it, but I didn't want to argue with the young service writer, so I just said thanks and went on my way. So far it has stayed out since then.
