SideView Mirror change? (Power)

Is there an options package or a donor vehicle that I can get easily adaptable or straight bolt on power mirrors to put on my 1989 F350 (4 door cab)...

It's a flatbed tow truck with dual rear wheels, so when parking it, I like to know where the rear wheels are. (I'm not used to driving something this big.)

Also, I like to change the position of the mirrors dependant on how big the vehicle is on the rear, or if there's a trailer on the rear... Leaning out and moving it a bit and checking and repeating gets kinda annoying...

Bump.

I can wire up anything. I have no problem with the electricals. My main concern is that I don't want to have to be drilling a whole bunch of holes in my doors. I'm not a body man.

which mirrors are on it now? the ones that mount in three places (including the spot thats about middle of door) and extend out some (like mirrors for towing)? Im not sure if there are electrical replacements for those type of "towing" mirrors (ones that stick far out). I dont think you would be able to do a direct replacement with an electrical one. on my f150 when i changed it from XL to XLT i bought electric chrome ones to replace my manual black ones, maybe you could buy some from an f150, or even a f250?? Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't think there were power mirrors available for that year. I recently put '92 doors on my '90 while doing a complete body and paint job, and could have had the powered mirrors for those doors but decided I didn't want the hastle of wiring them in. A cheap alternative for you may be to stick a couple of theose small round fisheye mirrors on the outside lower corners of your existing mirrors. That will give you a view of the side of the vehicle without moving anything.

Cant see why cant use newer 92 up mirrors. You'll have to drill door to work,as for the wiring . Use stock switch mirror controll and make own harness put in bash or on door(you'll have to fab mount for it. ) You could put in newer door panels wiring and switches and vent window, but the older panels are nicer in my book . If your truck has west coast mirrors(mount above below side window) you could get a set off semmi truck neighbor swaped his out on 89 F350 They are small about stock west coast size.I like thre bigger west coast type for haulling trailer . Its whats on work truck 96 F450 Well good luck
