I did this once before and Glen got me thinking about how we seem to always wander off topic, so here goes. Let's see where we end up.
P.S. Getting my slip tank set up this week, I think.
A real 'slip tank' must have the ability to 'slip' like one we had in a half ton once. Used it for hunting and it bounced up and broke the back window! Did anyone go deer hunting this season?

A slip tank is for peteoleum products (or biodiesel in Full's case) a water tank holds water in a truck bed.
Sip tank are mainly used for putting on a farm pickup then going to a field to bring a tractor, or combine fuel instead of driving the piece of farm machinery to the farm's fuel tank.
Most slip tanks have a seperate electric, vacum powered or hand crank pump.
I looked for a picture to but all I found was lingerie.
oh one of them gas tanks people with farm trucks have?
never knew what those were called... thanks
i see i still got alot to learn.
I see, i was doing heavy duty mechanics for a logging outfit and thats how they filled their machinery up, with a slip tank... no one ever called it that where i was working...

I went to college for mechanics and after I got a job doing it, I realized I liked what I was already doing more (printing)
Not many people know what printing invloves so I dont feel so bad about not knowing about farming
a friend of mine used to say he was a "pressman" and people thought he worked at a drycleaners all the time... I am more of a bindery machine operator but run the presses at times when I need to.

I have an old vacum powered pump for a slip tank if anyone wants it. I got it with a slip tank I bought from a Cudworth farm auction sale. Princess Auto had a great price on a 12 V pump.
yeah not the right kind of BRA for a powerstroke hey...
