1957 Custom Cab
I have a 1957 F-100 Custom Cab, and I am trying to find chrome
headlamp doors and a chrome grille. Are there any reproduction
companies or NOS out there? I have already checked with Dennis
Carpenter Reproductions---no luck. Also, can anyone turn me on to
someone who has totally customized one? I am getting ready to do some body mods and drop a Cadillac 472 in it---need some tips.

Hi, Unfortunately grilles,headlamp doors, and emblems for the '57 thru '60 Ford trucks are not being reproduced by anyone (except for the custom cab door emblems). You can find grilles in a boneyard or on E-bay and have them re-chromed, or you can try a place that finds them, re-chromes them, and then sells them. Here's a couple places that might be able to help you:

Hello:
I have an extra front hood emblem and two side hood emblems for your 57. They will need to be re-chromed. If you are interested, let me know. Sorry that I have no ideas on the other chrome that you want.

I spoke with him on 3/12/01 and he said he would have a "show quality" chrome grill in about 60 days. The price? I hope your sitting down. $800.00 That is to much for me. Good luck
