When was the last time you changed your PCV valve?

How can oil get into the air box from the pcv?? This is a good one...

In the box under the element is another little filter that hooks to the valve cover wait wait...

EFI or Crab..........????

isn't there a vacuum in the aircleaner box from the intake?if the pcv is stuck open oil will get sucked into the box.

The pcv valve gets it vacuume from the intake..before the air box.

if the thing has a bunch of miles on it the one thing that comes to mind is blow by. if the pcv system can't keep up with the block pressure it will find the weakest place to exit, if the engine has a breather that is feed into the air box from the valve cover it will some times blow oil in the box.

Just under the air filter in the air box there should be a little filter that never gets changed. thats the one that goes to the side of the block or to the valve cover. It's a vent.....and when you get heavy blow by it will blow off the extra pressure from the block into the air box...

Hope I got that right.........

Yessir. That's why I mentioned the PCV. Had the same problem. BTW, just because it rattles, doesn't mean it's good. They're cheap, give it a try.
