Somebody help! Where do I go to find an NOS engine for my restoration? I'm looking for a 223 in line 6. Any help will be appreciated!

Why do you want a NOS engine? You can rebuild yours using some NOS parts and some reproduced parts achieving the same look and function. Sometimes the reproduced piece is superior to the NOS piece in quality. Many pieces are indistinguishable from the NOS. Strange things turn up from time to time but I doubt you'll find a NOS long block. Good luck

Thanks Charles

That is wild. How much does he want? Is it a short block or long block? Does he have a catalog?

Are we all sure we know what NOS means? It stands for "New Old Stock". The important word here is new. If there are some original never used engine blocks around, that is impressive.(and probably expensive)

That was my point when I said, "strange things turn up from time to time but I doubt you will find a NOS long block". If I did find one I would have to tear it down to inspect everything. There is bound to be some corrosion and deterioration of parts. That would kind of defeat the purpose of a NOS part. BUT that is only my opinion!!!

Thanks Charles
