thefarelaneman, I think I got that beat. "[points to a scar on chest] Mary Ellen Moffat. She broke my heart."

petes79f150, gout? Just in my big toe. That smarts.

I was asked what gout feels like.
It's like stubbing your big toe against your bed post as hard as you can and the pain lasts for days
No fun at all!

Yuppers. Best description I can give is having ground glass in your joint. My gout appears not in my big toe as in most, but in the top of my foot. Luckily I haven't had a bad flare up in over 10 years.

Right now I need to get my right shoulder checked. I took a good fall the week before Turkey Day, pain can be unbearable at times, especially trying to raise my arm above shoulder height. It feels like something is catching in there, wil pop at times. About a 50-50 chance it will feel better after the pop, or excrutiating pain for several hours.

Yep, had that done to my elbow and both knees: Suck out the fluid and inject steroid through the same needle.

Look on the bright side If most of us were born 150 years ago we would have died long ago from what we recover from today

I had a titanium screw in my right hand but they had to operate on me to remove it. The tendon for my pinky finger was running right over top of it

Just started a fund drive to aid the "Accident Waiting to Happen Members of FTE".

Email all donations in cash to me. I will see that the qualifying members receive their share with proof of need of course.

In 1994 at a Canadian Tire store I dropped a 20 lb trailer hitch shank from 3ft up on my left big toe while I was wearing sandals.

I can still feel it ..today.......in fact..right now
