rear diff

The 8.8" on my 94 is lookin a little wet with oil, so its probably time to change the oil and reseal it. I was just gonna silicone the cover back on, but i found a gasket for 5$. What should i torque the cover bolts down to??? I dont wanna smash the gasket. Any help would be appreciated.

25-35 ft/lbs. for the cover bolts.
5.5 pints of gear lube
I like to use Permatex the Right Stuff.

Thanks for the reply. No more "wet" looking rear diff. Id reccommend an oil and gasket change for those who have an oil covered diff!

ps: it was changed just 3 years ago and the oil looked really bad. Maybe from four wheeling and a crappy axle vent tho

I noticed your 94 has a Trac Lok rear.
Did you add 4oz's of the friction additive?
