I rode in one with a V8 not long ago. The power is really quite nice..and as far as for the mileage, it depends on if you have a lead foot or not..which can vary your mileage. Generally, I have heard 14 city-18 hwy...but once again, it depends on your location, driving conditions, traffic, and other variables.
Yeah, the mileage sticker on my 04 F150 said 14/18, but I have no problem getting 19.3-20.5 with it on the flay hwys in Jersey as long as I keep her under 65-70mph.. Around town my dash computer deal hangs right at 16.3mph.
The 07 V8 Sport Trac says 15/20, but only offers a 3.55 rear end. I'd like a 3.73LS, but there really isn't much differnce... I'm only pulling a 17ft Mako figuring a 3000lb load on the trailer. Less than 50% of the 6800lb cap of the Sport Trac...
I'm hoping more will answer that have bought them in the last few months......................? Especially about this 6 speed auto trans???
I've had my 07' for about 2 months now and so far it's great! Mileage is better than my 04 F150 and it's a way easier to park etc. I haven't pulled my trailer with it yet but I have the brake contoller installed and ball platform setup, so wait for spring and see what happens. The 4.6 V8 and 6 speed auto seem great so far, smooth as silk.
