Does anyone know what type of paint was used on an original 1959 custom cab (white) steering wheel? Would it have been acrylic enamel, or epoxy? Thanks in advance for any help, or opinions on which would work better.

I'm sure it wasn't epoxy, however I plan to refinish mine in epoxy and probably an epoxy clearcoat over the white. That will of course require a primer that is compatible. When finished it should provide a duable surface that will outlast me!

I'm not sure but I think Por15 makes a gloss white. It is pretty tough stuff.
