Coil Voltage Question
Ok,
I know that a stock coil should run at 6 volts. I upgraded to an Accel super coil that operates at 12V constant. So I swapped out the resistor wire for a standard wire to supply 12V constant to the coil.
When I measure the voltage from the ground of the truck (not the coil side) and the (+) side of the coil I read 12V.
When i measure the voltage between the (-) and (+) sides of the coil I get about 9-10V.
Any ideas why this would happen?
What is the voltage from - terminal of coil to ground ?
- is the tach reading which means ...grounded then open..then grounded.
What is the continuity test result between those two terminals ?

That is more important
Anyway, I went to autozone and got another coil. But now there is no negative polarity on the coil. (+) side of coil to chassis ground = 12V. (+) side of coil to (-) side of coil = 0V.
Now what. When the old coil blew did it take out the ignition module?
