I recently bought a 2004 FX4 Supercrew with factory keyless entry. Problem is, I bought it used, and the previous owner lost the card with the keyless entry code on it. I know the code is also stamped on the RAP module. I found out that the RAP module on the SuperCrew trucks is located behind my rear seats. My question is, what is the best way to remove my rear seats and get to my module to get to this code...its really buggin me to not have this code! Hehe.
And I refuse to pay Ford $75 to retrieve it for me, thats pointless. I know my seats fold up, but the backs seem to be permanately attached to my truck. How do I remove them without breaking anything to get to my rear panels to get to the module?? Thanks guys!!
Thanks. That was very helpful. Looks like alot of work just to get my keyless code. Does anyone know exactly where the RAP module is once I remove my rear seat backrest?? I am told it is behind the trim panel between the under the rear window. Anyone know? Do you guys think this is really worth all my trouble, or should I just pay Ford the $75 and say "retrieve me the damn code" hehe. Thanks!
