Turbo Exaust
Yeah this is my second question in one night oh well.
Has any one hear herd of an exaust that has turbo qualities like a little fan that kicks out the air faster or something. A guy i know swears that he had one and it was just called a turbo exaust... If any body can back this up or dispell it that would kick ***. Thanks

I'll dispell it.
It can't happen. A fan in the exhaust will spin at velocity X for exhaust flow Y. Y increases, X increases. Y decreases, X decreases. X will never obtain a speed faster than set value Y (except during engine shut-off or quick de-throttling) and would under no circumstances produce any sort of useful effect.
Now...a fan in the exhaust is going to do one thing. Restrict exhaust flow. Which will make the engine have more backpressure and generally not be good for power.
Now...perhaps a fan could be rigged in the exhaust to turn another fan cramming air into the intake, like a poor-man's turbo, per say. Wonderful, and it might achieve 1 or 2 PSI of boost at WOT. Nothing worth anything.
He got ripped...no power other than what your butt wants to be there.

basicly instead of a muffler you have a turbo in the place were it goes
real popular with the corvettes around here
yes it does increase power but not to the same effect as if you were to get a turbo installed off the headers
when the turbo is installed under the hood it makes more heat to spin it faster when you have it further back it cools down somewhat
i don't know if theres any kits for the ranger
