Bronco seems a bit sluggish

After many trials and tribulations, I've finally straightened out the transmission and brakes on my recently acquired '79 Bronco and feel comfortable enough to drive it around the neighborhood. Now this is my first offroad truck, so my experience is a bit limited, but it does seem awfully sluggish. I'm sure 35s and 3.50s aren't a recipe for breakneck acceleration, but I would think that the 351m would push it up the road a little faster than it does. My truck lost a little bit of umph when I went from 30s to 31s, so I suppose I shouldn't expect much with 35s and stock gears. Will 0-60 in 9.7 hours be the norm until I swap in the 1tons with 4.56s on 37s?

Hey, I just saw that that was my 100th post! To celebrate, here's a picture of a goat in the back of a car.
