heater switch

1997 Ford F-150 factory AC

The heater doesn't work in my truck anymore. I think it is the blower switch (because last year you would have to wiggle it back and forth before it would start to blow) Anyway I ordered a new heater blower switch and I'm going to replace it tomorrow. How do I get the ***** off the old blower switch, temp selector, tank selector as well as the head light and wiper ****. Is there anything else I need to remove before I take the dash off.

79 or 97 ?

although they have friction fit spring clips on them as well.....The heater/fuel selector ***** don't need to be removed to pull the cluster.

The wiper **** is remvoed by inserting a small screwdriver in the slot under the **** then putting force on the spring clip while pulling towards the seat.
The headlight switch is

remove neg battery cable
Pull headlight switch to full on
reach up under and behind dash and depress the button on top of the switch
Pull shaft/**** out of switch.

Sorry, Mil1ion, the truck is a 1977 I was on my laptop without the 10 number keypad and with my fat fingers who knows what will come out when I use the numbers on the top of the keyboard.

So I don't need to pull the caps off the temp and tank slector. Then does everything come off as a whole assy or what?

after you undo the 2 screws under the radio faceplate that large opening goes right past the heater/radio controls.

The heater switch is held in with a couple of screws and comes right out the front.
