Exhaust

Exhaust

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I was driving down the street yesterday when I heard this noise. As I turn my head it was another Ford Diesel truck driving away. It had this whistle that I would never forget get. I want to have this whistle, but I don’t want to get in over my head with it.

<o></o>

I know that the person had to have an exhaust system on the vehicle. Please help….. I have a 2006 Ford F250 Stock.

It was likely an '03 6.0. The 2003 models had a turbo that was much, much louder than any 6.0 turbo since. An '03 6.0 straight piped is insane. Just sitting there idling they screech.

Best way to get something close is to straight pipe your exhaust, but to really get that same sound level, you'll need an '03 turbo.

For us 2004-current 6.0L owners the cheapest option is to straight pipe the exhaust ALL the way back.

If you want to swap in a '03 turbo expect to spend alot of money.

open up your intake.

a lot of "turbo whine" comes from the intake side.

try a KN or the 6637 mod. either way lose the stock box and filter.

Sorry boss, nither of those work in a 6.0. You can add a AFE or air raid... But the intake side of a 6.0 is a differant beast.

Get a 4" cat back system with a cat delete pipe. Reasonable price and mine sounds great.

I was wondering if any company makes a cat and muffler delete pipe for the stock exhaust on the 03 trucks. I have looked and nothing comes up so any help would be great..

Thanks,
Blake
