I've escorted those rigs, and usually a load that small but on a setup like that is a generator that weighs a bunch. Usually over 300,000 lbs.

Ya, the size isnt what gets me, its the weight. Its just a the size of super sized shipping container shipping container. This is the second set of these i'v seen down here. I Go to a&m and im wondering if they are some kind of equipment going into a new building on campus.

By the number of axles and tractors moving that thing, i would say its well over 300,000lbs, and closer to 500,000lbs atleast.

Normal 60ton heavy haul = 120,000lbs and require 28 tires under the load(not including steer.) This thing has well over a 100!

Hauled the Binder pulling truck today. Put him away for the winter. I ran across the scales at a quarry. Everything, 150 and all weighed 14,100 lbs. I have 30 lbs in the airbags. The 5.4 handles this load very easily.

They still let you out on the beach out there? Cool. Last time I was on the beach out that way was on prom night 1988 with my best friend and our dates in his '59 ****** utility wagon.
