5.0 block casting ID

I got a good running 86 or 87 lincolin town car with a 5.0. Before getting this car I did a lot of research on if it would be an HO or not and I came to the conclusion a HO was never put in a town car, so I tore the engine down a little and found a roller cam and lifters now im stumped. Could the short block be an HO with the forged pistons? The block has a E7TE CA casting number behind the starter. I was under the impression the only roller 5.0s were ho's? Is this true?

Think any 5.0 after '85 in cars and later on for trucks. Not sure on the forged pistons.

I believe HO's were 83 and 84 only, and were not roller lifter motors. I have an 84 HO, not a roller motor, and it has 351W firing order.

Does your intake manifold have the firing order cast on it?

HO should be 13726548
Otherwise it is 15426378

The 302 HO was from '82-95 in the mustangs. Highend Lincolns got the same engine as the mustang. HO only meant the 13726548 firing order and the 351w HO were just a 4 barrel option in the 80's trucks.
